AVE Technologies successfully bid to install 700 meters of ADSS fibre over 7 x 66KV overhead power lines in a Copper mine in Central NSW.

The scope of the work was to provide reliable comms from the Copper mine’s current core network cabinet onsite to a new vent fan shaft located at the end of a 66KV direct-fed fan.

Along the route, we broke the fibre out at two locations where the site had full access to patch throughout or use any of the 24 cores in any direction from that point.

We leveraged product research provided by PLP (Preformed Line Products or PLP is the company that makes the supporting hardware) to ensure the rollout of the ADSS fibre to the overhead power lines was aligned with the most up-to-date best practice and completed ahead of schedule and under budget for the customer.
