Twenty years ago, Chris Elkin formed Celtech Voice & Data, focusing primarily on data and communications network cabling. Celtech Voice & Data quickly became established as a quality cabling company in Newcastle, initially targeting work in the construction and education sectors.

With the advances in technology and the integration of all media types, there was a demand and a need to expand into the audiovisual, security and CCTV, telephone systems, and MATV market.

With this vision, the company merged with AVE Communications, a well-established company in the professional audiovisual industry. The company merger assisted with expanding and developing a much more diverse field of work. A few years later, the company name was changed to AVE Technologies Pty Ltd, of which Chris Elkin is now the sole director.

AVE Technologies has continued to grow into many new fields of expertise from this humble base, including Electrical Engineering and drafting, process control and automation, IP networking and wireless data.

AVE Technologies’ head office is based in Mayfield East, Newcastle and also has an office in Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley. Our Muswellbrook office services the mining industry, government, commercial clients & schools in the Upper Hunter region.

AVE Technologies has kept up with technological advances by implementing training programs that keep our employees abreast of industry changes and advances as they occur. Our commitment to training and development is reflected by the consistent quality of workmanship & products that we supply.

In addition to our cabling in the commercial and industrial sectors, we also provide services under the NSW State Government 2020 ICT Approved Supplier Contract. AVE currently provides communications cabling services to all NSW Government departments, including:

• NSW Dept of Education
• NSW TAFE
• Dept of Commerce
• NSW Police, and
• Various other smaller government departments

We are fully insured, including workers’ compensation and public liability and are WH&S compliant.
